RobocodeUK Cookie Policy. Version 8, last reviewed 19 October 2026.
1. Who we are
RobocodeUK Limited (company number 17251049, registered office The Exchange, 26 Haslucks Green Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 2EL) runs the websites listed below. Our Privacy Policy, at robocode.uk/privacy, explains everything else we do with personal information.
This policy covers robocode.uk, our website (the addresses www.robocode.uk and ftc.robocode.uk lead to it), my.robocode.uk, where families and staff sign in, camps.robocode.uk, ltp.robocode.uk, partners.robocode.uk, franchise.robocode.uk, and the sign-in pages our staff use.
2. What we mean by cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser's local storage (it stays until it is cleared) or session storage (it goes when you close the tab), and can load pixels or tags, small pieces of code from another company that send it information about your visit. The law treats all of these the same way, and so does this policy. We say "cookies" for all of them.
Some cookies are strictly necessary: without them the site cannot do what you asked, such as keep you signed in or remember your basket. We do not need to ask for these. For everything else we ask first.
3. How we ask
On robocode.uk a banner asks:
We use cookies to keep the site working and to see how families find us.
with two buttons of equal size, side by side: "No thanks" and "Yes, that is fine".
- Until you choose, no advertising cookie is set and no advertising tag loads.
- "No thanks" loads nothing, and we remember your answer so we do not ask again.
- "Yes, that is fine" loads the tags in section 4.3.
- To change your mind, come back to this page (robocode.uk/cookies). It shows the choice you made and has two buttons: "Refuse advertising cookies" and "Allow advertising cookies". The page reloads so the change takes effect.
- Refusing later stops the tags loading, but it does not remove cookies that Google, Meta or TikTok have already set. To remove those, delete cookies for robocode.uk in your browser settings (section 8).
- If your browser blocks storage, we cannot record a choice, so we treat it as a "No".
Camps, the Luminary Tech Path, partners and franchise sites each have their own banner (section 5).
4. robocode.uk and my.robocode.uk
robocode.uk is our website. my.robocode.uk is where you sign in, to your family account or, for our staff, to the CRM. Each address keeps what it stores separately: a choice you make on robocode.uk is kept by robocode.uk.
4.1 Strictly necessary
| Name | Kind | What it does | How long |
| robocode.cookie-consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice ("accepted" or "rejected") | Until you clear it |
| access_token , refresh_token | Local storage | Keep you signed in to your family account | 60 minutes and 7 days; removed when you sign out |
| robocode-auth | Local storage | Your signed-in account details for the app: name, email, phone, centre and role | Cleared when you sign out |
| robocode-basket | Local storage | Your merchandise basket | Until you empty it or clear it |
| robocode.enrol.basket.v1 | Session storage | The classes and options you have picked while enrolling | Until you close the tab |
| robocode-sso-token , hub_auto_tried , hub_return_path | Session storage | Staff sign-in only | Until the tab closes (the token lasts about a minute) |
| sessionid , csrftoken | Cookies | Staff administration pages only | Until the browser closes |
We set no cookie of our own on the public pages.
4.2 Our own analytics: PostHog
We use PostHog, based in the European Union, to see which pages are used and which buttons are pressed, so we can improve the site. On robocode.uk and my.robocode.uk PostHog stores nothing on your device: it keeps its working information in the page's memory, and it is forgotten when you leave. It never records your screen.
It sends PostHog the page address, with codes and record numbers taken out; the links and buttons you click, with the words on them kept only on our public pages; and browser and device details. When you sign in, it sends your account number and nothing else about you: never your name or your email address.
Because it stores nothing on your device, PostHog runs whatever you choose on the banner.
4.3 Advertising: only after "Yes, that is fine"
| Company | Tag | Why | What it stores (measured on 29 September 2026) |
| Google | Tag Manager GTM-THWCC8R7, which carries Google Ads AW-322463323 | To learn which Google adverts brought you, and to show our adverts to people like you | _gcl_au (90 days); _gcl_ls in local storage; IDE (about 13 months), set on doubleclick.net |
| Google | Google Analytics 4, G-JRT8V1GVMC | To count visits and where they came from | _ga and _ga_JRT8V1GVMC (400 days) |
| Meta | Meta pixel 589523574065201 | To learn which Facebook and Instagram adverts brought you | _fbp (90 days); _fbc (90 days) when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram advert; lastExternalReferrer and lastExternalReferrerTime in local storage |
| TikTok | TikTok pixel DAAQ17JC77UBPDTVLLAG | To learn which TikTok adverts brought you | _ttp (90 days), set on tiktok.com |
Google's and Meta's cookies are set for the whole of robocode.uk, so your browser also sends them when you visit our other robocode.uk sites. Those sites do not read them.
These companies also set cookies on their own websites, which their own policies cover. They may use what they learn for their own purposes as well as ours, and they may process it outside the UK.
Our own code never passes them your name, email address or phone number. Meta's and TikTok's tags, however, are set to read the contact details you type into a form on a page where they run (your email address, phone number, name and address) and to send them to Meta or TikTok in scrambled (hashed) form, so they can match your visit to their users. This happens only after you have said "Yes, that is fine".
Separately, when you book a Free Tech Assessment, book a holiday camp after arriving from one of our Facebook or Instagram adverts, or send a Luminary Tech Path enquiry, our server sends Meta a scrambled copy of your contact details to measure our adverts, whatever you choose here. That is not a cookie: section 9 of our Privacy Policy explains it and how to object.
The tags run only on our public pages on robocode.uk, and never on our SEND and EHCP page (robocode.uk/send). Signing in, or moving into your family account, opens a fresh page on my.robocode.uk, which the tags do not reach, so they never see the pages of your family account.
4.4 Content from other companies
| What | Where on the site | What happens |
| Google Maps | Each centre's page | A Google map in a frame. Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies. |
| YouTube and Vimeo | Course pages and the class finder, when a course has a video | The player loads from YouTube or Vimeo, which receive your IP address and browser details and may set their own cookies. |
These load when you open the page, whatever you choose on the banner, because they are part of what the page shows you.
Our fonts, pictures and our own films are served from our own server. Payments open on Stripe's own page, which has its own cookie policy.
5. Holiday camps, the Luminary Tech Path, partners and franchise sites
Each of these sites uses PostHog analytics. Each shows a banner, and only if you say yes does PostHog keep a random identifier in your browser's local storage (a key starting ph_ ), so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. Until then, and after "No thanks", PostHog keeps its working information in the page's memory and stores nothing on your device. Your answer is remembered under robocode.cookie-consent in local storage, and "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page lets you change it; saying no later removes the identifier. None of these sites loads advertising tags.
| Site | Strictly necessary | Other |
| camps.robocode.uk | robocode.cookie-consent (local storage: your cookie choice); robocode-flow-carry (session storage: carries your booking between steps); auth_token , hub_session (cookies: staff sign-in only) | robocode-gallery-hint-seen , robocode-wa-teaser-seen (local storage: hints you have already seen); robocode.first-touch (local storage, only after "Yes, that is fine": where your first visit came from, kept with a booking you make later); PostHog; a Google Maps frame on venue pages |
| ltp.robocode.uk | robocode.cookie-consent (local storage: your cookie choice); ltp-carry , ltp-reg , ltp-invite (local storage: your form answers, so you can carry on if the page closes; removed when you finish, or after a day) | PostHog; a Google Maps frame |
| partners.robocode.uk | robocode.cookie-consent (local storage: your cookie choice); robocode_portal_session , sb-<project>-auth-token (local storage: partner portal sign-in) | robocode_fx (exchange rates), robocode_scenarios , robocode_quotes (figures you saved), robocode_portal_active_tab , robocode_portal_dark (display choices); PostHog |
| franchise.robocode.uk | robocode.cookie-consent (local storage: your cookie choice); robocode_session , robocode_tools_key , robocode_build_unlock (session storage: your session and staff access to the tools) | robocode_help_seen (session storage); PostHog; charts drawn with a library loaded from the jsDelivr network, which receives your IP address |
6. Emails
Every email my.robocode.uk sends to one person carries a small picture of our own, which tells us whether the email was opened when your email app loads it. Marketing emails from our holiday camps carry a small picture and links that tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. None of this stores anything on your device.
7. Staff sign-in pages
login.robocode.uk, admin.robocode.uk, hr.robocode.uk, sales.robocode.uk and forms.robocode.uk use cookies and storage to keep staff signed in (for example hub_session for 7 days, __Host-forms_session , and Supabase's sign-in cookies) and to remember display choices. Most of our staff tools use PostHog, in one shared project, with no screen recording and nothing stored on the device.
8. How to control cookies
- Use the banner. On robocode.uk you can change your answer on this page; on the other sites, with "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page.
- Your browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site data. Deleting them also resets your choice, so the banner will ask again.
- Google (adssettings.google.com), Meta (your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences) and TikTok (your TikTok ad settings) let you control the adverts you see from them.
- Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop you signing in or keeping a basket.
9. Changes and contact
We update this policy whenever a site starts or stops using a cookie, and the date at the top changes.
