A free workshop for your school
Robotics, coding and game development for your pupils, taught in person by our Mentors, in your school or at our Studio Lab. Start with a free workshop. If it works for you, we build a programme around your pupils.

How it works
Three steps, and the first two cost your school nothing.
Request a school pack
Tell us about your school, your pupils and what you would like to try. The centre nearest your school replies with the pack: what we run, the safeguarding paperwork and a quote for your size of group.
Your free workshop
One free workshop for your school: one hour, up to fifteen pupils. Your pupils build something that works, and your staff see how we teach.
A programme for your pupils
If it works for you, we propose a programme that fits your timetable. That can be a weekly club, a term, a full year, or workshop days through the year. A full term or a full year costs less per session.
Programmes and workshops schools choose
Every programme is built from the courses our Robocoders take each week, so a pupil who loves it can carry on.

Each is equivalent to a GCSE. Pupils sit them at a Robocode centre that runs BCS exams.

Enhanced DBS
Every Mentor who works with children has an Enhanced DBS check with a barred list check. Certificates are ready for your single central record before anyone visits.
Ofsted registered
Robocode is registered with Ofsted as a childcare provider, URN 2715831.
A safeguarding lead at every centre
Each centre has a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead, and our safeguarding policies are public on our policies page.
Insured
Public liability and employers' liability of £10 million each.
Before any visit
We confirm the checks, the insurance and the risk assessment with you before a Mentor comes into your school.

A few questions, so the pack fits your school. The centre nearest your school replies to you personally. If no centre is within 30 miles, we reply ourselves.
Not a school?
We also work with alternative provision, Scouts and Cubs, holiday clubs, HAF providers and home education groups. And with councils, for holiday camps and programmes.
Clubs and groupsCouncilsQuestions schools ask
- Do you come to us, or do we come to you?
- Either. We bring the kit and the Mentor to your school. Or your pupils come to a Studio Lab at the nearest centre and use the whole room.
- What does the free workshop cost?
- Nothing. It is one free workshop for each school, with no commitment.
- Do pupils need any experience?
- No. Most start with none. Every session is built so a beginner makes something that works.
- How many pupils can come?
- Six to fifteen in a session. For a larger year group we run more than one session, or bring more than one Mentor.
- What do you need from us?
- A room with power, and the register. We bring everything else.
- Can you work with pupils with SEND?
- Yes. Our groups are small, each pupil works at their own pace, and the same Mentor comes back each week. See how we work on our SEND page.
- How much does a programme cost?
- We quote per group, because eight pupils in your hall and fifteen in a Studio Lab are not the same job. A full term or a full year costs less per session. Your pack has the numbers for your size of group.
